- Torvald Torén - organ
The two volumes of the Complete Organ Works by the quintessential French organ composer César Franck, demonstrate the art of 19th century organ composition at its highest. These varied and colorful works are performed by Swedish organist, Torvald Torén, who was known both in his home country as well as in France for his vast French repertoire. This recording dates back to 1974 and the Hedvig Eleonora church in Stockholm. The former organ of the church, a three manual electropneumatic instrument, had 69 stops and was built in 1948 by Magnusson, Gothenburg.
